The Productivity plugin's tasks-and-memory workflow
Anthropic's official Productivity plugin ships 5 skills built around tasks and memory. What each does, verified from the public repo - not run.
Most plugins are for one job function. The official Productivity plugin is the layer under all of them: tasks, memory and status. Its 5 skills, verified from the public repository (October 2026); not run.
The 5 skills
- start - open the day: what is on the list, what changed, what matters first.
- task-management - the list itself: capture, organize, reprioritize.
- update - close the loop: turn the day or week into a status note for whoever needs it.
- memory-management - keep project context between sessions so Monday does not start from zero. This is the skill that makes the others compound.
- dashboard.html - a visual surface for the state of things.
Why memory is the point
The documented Cowork pattern is that projects keep folders, instructions, links and memory so each session starts set up. A tasks-and-memory plugin is that pattern as a package: the win is not any single session, it is that the tenth session still knows what the first one decided.
Getting it
In Anthropic's official marketplace - one step in add a GitHub marketplace. If your work is role-shaped, start with your role's plugin from the starter shortlist and add Productivity second; the consultant shortlist shows how they pair.
